Cliff Parry grew up in an industrial town scarred by brickworks and worked out pits – He studied mining engineering and became an engineer before the pits closed. In love, he came to Greece and became a teacher. How blessed has he been to be able to teach people in Greece!

Summary: A light-hearted look at what makes a teacher through the rose-tinted spectacles of Christmas.
Workshop
Stavroula Kampakou
“Saving Santa, a Christmas Quest”
Summary: The workshop will center around a Christmas escape room. The objective is to free Santa, who has been imprisoned by elves, within 30-40 minutes. Hidden clues, in the form of riddles, will be scattered around the room. Teachers will enter, lights will dim, and the door will close. A video of Santa explaining his predicament and providing game instructions will be played.
Stavroula Kampakou’s educational journey includes a BA from the National Kapodistrian University of Athens and an MA in Special Education from the University of Cyprus. With over 23 years in the field of education, her passion lies in creating alternative approaches to teaching that make learning more engaging and effective, especially for students with learning difficulties, ensuring a positive impact on the educational experience for both students and educators.
