“Second Generation Inclusion – CPD: Teaching at the Edge of What Inclusion Can Do”
Something has shifted in today’s classrooms, and most educators feel it before they can name it. While it is often assumed that learning difficulties are becoming more common, the reality is far more complex. This session examines what’s actually behind that shift, how well-intentioned instruction may inadvertently reinforce it, and what a more effective framework looks like. Practical, evidence-informed, and grounded in real classroom experience, it offers a fresh lens for educators who sense something has changed but aren’t sure what to do about it.
Constantina Constantopoulou is an ELT professional with instructional experience in private and public school classrooms, as well as university lecturing. For over a decade, she has worked in teacher education and professional development, presenting at conferences, contributing to panel discussions, and delivering teacher training sessions with national and international organisations. Her articles, which focus on quality and evidence-based education, have been featured in ELT and TESOL publications. Constantina holds a BA in English Language and Literature, a MEd in Special Education, and an MSc (cand.) in Education Management and Leadership.
