"Game Activities Which Kindle Interactive Language Use"
This session promises to refresh our teaching techniques on language based games which provide space for interaction, expression, creative spontaneity, intense focus and fun. Providing the framework for learners to journey unexpected settings will challenge them and sustain their effort of learning. You are invited to take part in structured game activities which train in the cognitive capabilities of divergent thinking, free imagination and nurture improvisation. After all, one function of language is the creation of imaginative worlds and experimention with original ideas for communication purposes.
These educational games are low prep and on the spot available. Be ready to contribute to educational creativity and enthusiasm for fun language use.
Zafi Mandali
Zafi Mandali holds a BA in English Language & Literature, Aristotle University
of Thessaloniki and an M.A. in Applied Linguistics, University of Essex.
Retired from Director of studies, Department of English, Ellinogermaniki
Agogi, she works as an active educator, teacher trainer, storytelling coach,
educational consultant and serves on the Tesol Greece Board. She is a
presenter, article contributor, published author of four E.A. Publications. Her
soft point is Storytelling in Education with samples of work uploaded on
www.eltstorytelling.com and Eltstorytelling facebook group.
