“What’s in It for Me?” Making Learning Relevant for Adult or Higher-Level Students
Students, often at a higher level, wonder what it is they are learning and why they are learning what we try to teach them. Sounds complicated? It should not be. This presentation, with the help of “Motivational Strategies in the English Classroom” (Dorneyei, Z. 2005), will try to delve into this issue and will seek to give some practices on how to give a successful response to this troubling, recurring question.
