Katerina Mantadaki
Katerina Mantadaki holds a MSc in Social Neuroscience, Social Pedagogy & Education and has been an ELT Teacher specialising in teaching English to students with Dyslexia and other SEN for more than 25 years. She is the Senior Educational Consultant and Teacher Trainer of Express Publishing. Her scientific interests lie in Neuroscience, Educational Technology and Inclusive Education.

“Specific Learning Difficulties and English Language Teaching”

Summary: Foreign language learning can be a challenge for students with Specific Learning Difficulties. Mastering English, in particular, can be even more demanding because of the intricacies of the English language. This presentation will focus on the additional needs of English language learners with SpLDs and discuss accommodations, including adapting methods and materials to ensure that these needs are met and language learning is an inclusive, rewarding experience for all learners.

“Learning Technologies and Dyslexia in EFL Classroom”

Summary: In this presentation, the key characteristics of dyslexic students as well as how learning technologies can support students, dyslexic or non dyslexic, are presented in an attempt to improve the learning process for all students in our classes.

Vicky Kaperoni

Vicky Kaperoni is a Language School Owner, an English teacher specializing in Learning Difficulties, and a teacher trainer. She has a BA in History, a MA in Education from the University of West Attica, and an Advanced Professional Certificate in Diagnosis and Intervention of Specific Learning Difficulties. She has recently started her doctoral research in Reading Brightly, a reading intervention program for students diagnosed with learning difficulties who are learning English as a foreign language.
