A message from the Chair

Dear friends of TESOL Greece,

On behalf of the board of directors I would like to thank all those who took the time and trouble

to submit a proposal for our Big SIG Day - Start of the Year Event on September 24, 2017.

The selection process was not easy as we received a plethora of good proposals

which were blind read by the SIG coordinators and members of the board.

The Plenary Speakers of the event are Christina Bakopoulou and Dr Christina Giannikas.

Adult Learners SIG: Theodore Lalos and Susan Stetson - Tiligadas

Drama & Literature SIG: Zafi Mandali and Sofia Sempepou

Learning Technologies SIG: Dimitris Primalis and Christos Sotiropoulos

Young Learners SIG: David Gibson and Theodora Toumanidis, Spyridoula Matatsi and Lilian Stathi.

We are looking forward to welcoming you at the premises of New York College in Kallithea.

TESOL Greece is an open forum, a family where ideas and practices can be freely exchanged.

To this end, the TESOL Greece board of directors, in an effort open the floor

to as many of our members as possible, has issued 3 calls for participation.

The next call for participation is for the TESOL Greece Colloquium on Young Learners

"Innovations in ELT for Children and Teenagerswith the support of IATEFL YLTSIG

"Be Creative and Inspire!" at Deree - the American College of Greece in Agia Paraskevi.

The Plenary Speakers are: Kieran Donaghy, Nicky Hockly, Luke Prodromou and Joan Kang Shin.

You can find the call for participation and more information about the convention here:

Please note that TESOL Greece members in good standing can attend all our events

as well as the convention of TESOL Macedonia Thrace - Northern Greece in February free of charge.

We are looking forward to seeing you at our events.

Kind regards,
